Statistical ThinkingStatistical Thinking is the process of using data to understand processes, problems, and solutions. It uses simple, mostly graphical, statistical tools. This enables frontline staff to apply statistical thinking in everyday process management and improvement. The Gateway Report we discussed previously applies statistical thinking to variance analysis. The first tool we will discuss are control charts. Though, not widely used in healthcare other industries have used them for many years. Most industrial quality programs rely on control charts. |
