Summary and ConclusionThis week we presented and discussed three common and useful Statistical Thinking tools. Control charts show the variation in an indicator over time and when significant events ("special cause" points or trends) occur. Histograms compress a variables data into a compact picture that shows the center of the data, the variation, the data's range, and the peaks and valleys in the data. Finally, scatter diagrams show the relationship between two variables and the relationship's strength. Next Week Next week we conclude this session of Variance Management Systems Online. We will bring all of the materials together and show how the Next Generation Model can help you better manage and improve you clinical processes. |
