Libraries for Job Seekers Grant

We are seeking adult and teen volunteers to serve on the grant's advisory board. The commitment will be for about one and a half hours, once a month from September 2010 through June 2011 to provide constructive suggestions and feedback to the library staff. Library Book Discussion Group

Our first book this year will be Versed by Rae Armantrout. The discussion group will start in October on the third Thursday the 14th from 7:30-8:30 pm and Friday the 15th from 1-2 pm.

*Copies of each title in multiple formats are available for borrowing at the library circulation desk.

Writer's Groups Starting: Writing your Life

We are our stories. This writing group will be focused on helping members develop their personal stories in a warm and supportive forum. The Friends of the Library will appreciate your book donations. To donate your gently used books, please bring them during regular library hours and proceed to the front desk to obtain the key to the storage room.

Also remember to visit the friends Ongoing Book Sale, to the left as you enter the door.

Children's Room

"Pattycake Place" for ages 1 - 24 months is Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11:00.
"Small Wonders" is for ages 2 and up on Wednesdays from 11:30 to noon.
"Lunch Bunch" is for everyone on Tuesdays from 11:30 to noon. Lunch Bunch meets outside, behind the Gazebo, but in the Children's Room if it rains.

60's Cardio Dance: Dance moves and music from the hit movie "Dirty Dancing". Saturdays 8:45-9:30am

Body Sculpting: No impact program, to tone and strengthen, lots of personal attention. Mondays and/or Fridays 9:15-10:00am

Coed T'ai Chi: The real deal. Yang 24 count form, ( not some watered-down version), Easy and fun to learn, this class always starts at the beginning so it is perfect for both beginners and those with experience. Like a slow motion film, requires balance and concentration so that you CAN'T think of anything else while you're doing it...a mini -vacation for 45min; Great Stress Reliever!. Thursdays 9:15-10:00am and/or Saturdays 8:00-8:45am

Step Aerobics: 30min or great cardio exercise and another 30 min of an energizing, complete toning workout. Tuesdays 7:00-8:00pm
