Event Time: 7:00PM to 9:00PM -- Event Location: Wimbledon 109 Tennis Club, Walpole

Saturday, September 11, 7-9 pm, Church of the Advent is hosting a Tennis Round Robin at Wimbledon 109, Walpole, to benefit Mountain Top Ministries and The Red Thread Promise in Haiti, helping to meet the educational, nutritional and medical needs of Haiti's most vulnerable children. Their regional communities are placed in the most remote areas where the need is greatest. Nearly 1500 children are enrolled in the schools. In addition, Mountain Top Ministries provides healthcare programs, medical clinics, surgeries, and through their pharmacy, dispenses badly needed medications and vitamins.

To reserve your tennis spot, send a check in the amount of $25 per person payable to Church of the Advent, memo "Tennis", 28 Pleasant Street, Medfield 02052.

$10 general admission will be available at the door, but tennis players must pre-register. Join us for an enjoyable evening of socializing, refreshments (BYOB) and tennis.

Medfield Angels

Medfield Angels

Category: Community -- Subcategory: Volunteer Opportunity

"To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world." ~Anonymous

Medfield Angels-Neighbor Brigade is a community-based network of volunteers. Our mission is to provide care and comfort to Medfield families during times of temporary crisis and to support other volunteer organizations in Medfield.

Having volunteers preparing and delivering meals, going to the store or running errands, driving to and from medical appointments, taking care of a family pet or offering a simple act of kindness can be worth more than words can say.

There is a spontaneous spirit within each of us that is motivated to help another, to give and to receive, and to make an impact on someone's life. Volunteers can give as little or as much time as they have available. There is no pressure or obligation and there is no cost! As new needs arise, an email is automatically sent to all Angels and those who are able to participate can do so within the confines of their own schedules.

There are currently over 380 Angels and we have supported more than 10 Medfield families since our start up this spring. This is such a reflection of this special community.
If you would like to join this volunteer network, go to

www.lotsahelpinghands.com/c/623485/login

When you or someone you know needs assistance from a Medfield Angel contact the coordinators and let us know about your needs. Requests can be confidential.

Zullo Gallery

Zullo Gears Up for Annual Common Art Festival, October 16

Category: Community -- Subcategory: Fundraising Event

Event Date: 10/16/2010

Event Time: 7:00PM to 11:00PM -- Event Location: Gazebo, Medfield Center

Save the date! On Saturday, October 16th from 7 - 11pm, the The Zullo Gallery Common Arts Festival will again take center stage on the grassy common behind Medfield's library and gazebo. The annual fundraising event, a.k.a. "the big party under the tent", promises another spectacular evening of art, music and fun. Wander up to Zullo's rooftop deck overlooking the town center, peruse a special art show and sale in the gallery, enjoy complimentary food and drink, grab a table under the gazebo and listen to the jazzy sounds under the tent.

Having fulfilled goals to renovate the interior and create the rooftop deck, the gallery now turns its attention to updating the small kitchen space. The goal is to get a small kitchen up and running so that the gallery can support itself and be open daily - and to create additional revenue by renting out the gallery for special events.

The $75 ticket donation can be purchased at the gallery, online at www.zullogallery.org.(by making a $75 donation with "art festival" in the comment area will reserve your ticket) or by calling 508-359-3711. All proceeds go to the not-for profit Zullo Gallery Center for the Arts. Meet under the stars and help enrich our communities with your support for the arts.
